I am a graduate of New Jersey City University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and a K-12 Spanish teaching certification. I have experience in working with ESL/ELL students, and have also served as a Spanish teacher at the high school level. I've worked with students ranging from kindergarteners to college students, and enjoy tutoring Spanish at all levels. As no two students are alike, I find it important to take the time to find out more about each student's learning style, goals, and individual challenges. By fine-tuning my approach to each student, I can help him or her achieve and even exceed his or her academic goals. I strive to create a respectful, positive, and comfortable learning environment, and I work to earn my students' trust. I enjoy helping my students find the relationship between the topics we are working on and their everyday lives, and I love bringing Spanish culture into the mix as well. I believe that building upon a strong foundation is the only way to learn, so I ensure my students have a solid knowledge of the fundamentals. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy painting, trekking, and playing a great game of soccer.
